About

Namaskar!

Thank you for taking the time to know about me. I am Sameer Bendre – born and brought up in Nagpur, India. I completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Technology and have been in the IT industry since my graduation in 1999. I came to the United States in 2003. Johns Creek (Northeast suburb of Atlanta) is now home.

I have been a developer, business analyst, tester, project manager, agile practitioner, and coach. I got introduced to agile practices around 2005 and learned and implemented them in my consulting engagements.

A practicing agilist with a keen focus on quality, I would like to share my experiences – success/failures, questions/suggestions about all things agile (primarily), and things that can help me grow as a lifelong learner. I am always looking for ways to improve on accomplishing new goals – be it personal or professional life.

My past involvement as a volunteer with Scrum Alliance, PMI Atlanta Agile, and Global Agile Community of practice have helped shaped my career. I have had a chance to contribute to:

PMBOK Guide 5th Edition (Scope Management chapter) by PMI

And as a reviewer of the following books:
Essential Scrum by Kenneth Rubin
Andrew Pham’s book – “Scrum in Action.”

I love music, shiny gadgets, cooking, exploring different things with my wife, Meghana & playing with our dog, Luna!
